Documentary and commericial filmmaker Taylor Powell has traversed the globe capturing intimate stories of human connection, vibrant unseen microcosms and cultural expression. With experience directing and shooting across six continents, Powell brings a uniquely empathetic lens to both commercial and artistic projects. His work for international brands, the Olympics, various governments and individuals all draw out authentic moments from subjects across language and cultural barriers.
His latest project, BODYWORK, explores humanity’s universal practices for physical wellbeing and relaxation. In this episodic documentary series, Powell uncovers the diverse ways people care for their bodies across cultures, providing viewers an intimate look at both ancient practices and modern innovations but also creating awareness and encouraging the audience to participate in physical body care themselves, no matter where or who they are.
