Kera Daughtery is a Texas State alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media and Mass Communication, currently serving as a Prevention Educator for the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center. With a background in social impact design, sustainability, and community wellness, Kera’s work centers on fostering safe, inclusive spaces for education and advocacy. Passionate about the intersection of well-being and social change, Kera reframes self-care as a radical tool for resistance, sustainability, and collective action. She equips activists, educators, and organizers with practical strategies to prevent burnout, cultivate resilience, and integrate self-care into their movements in ways that disrupt systems of exhaustion and exploitation.
